We believe in nurturing a love for learning through hands-on experiences, creative exploration, and project based learning. At Fable House, we understand that every young person deserves a nurturing and inclusive environment that meets their individual needs.
Fable House is a secondary and post-16 provision for students with complex Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH), including but not limited to; Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), Tourettes Syndrome, Situational Mutism (SM), Sensory Modulation Difficulties (SMD), Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD), Chromosomal Disorders, Speech and Language and Communication needs, and Emotional School Based Avoidance (ESBA).
The majority of our students have co-morbid conditions such as Learning Disability (LD) and/or Specific Learning Difficulty (SpLD) with many showing signs of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorders (PTSD) due to their experiences of the world and education prior to joining us.

Current offer - Part-time alternative provision We provide bespoke educational packages, tailor made for each student around their interests and goals. We embed a broad and balanced curriculum covering the core subjects needed for success in everyday life and deliver this in a way that suits each student's individual learning profile.
Future plans We have applied to Ofsted to register an independent school to provide full-time places for a small number of students. Each student will follow a bespoke curriculum, based on their learning profiles, needs and abilities. Following a successful registration process we aim to recruit students from Spring 2026
